Some of the common reasons for hair fall are stress, thyroid or hormonal imbalances, illness, excessive oily scalp, dandruff, nutritional deficiencies, and hair damage caused by chemical lotions and heat applications.

If you like to improve the condition of your hair that you have or trying to regrow hair that you’ve lost, then you can try some of these natural remedies for hair fall.

Effective Remedies For Hair Fall:-

1.Aloe Vera 

Using AloeVera Gel

Aloe vera is packed with 75 nutrients, including 18 amino acids, 12 vitamins, and 20 minerals. Aloe vera is commonly used in skin problems. 

It contains an enzyme called proteolytic which helps to repair dead skin cells on the scalp. Aloe vera condition your hair and make them smooth and shiny. Also, it promotes hair growth, prevents dandruff and itchiness, moisturizes the scalp, etc.

It contains a chemical that is very similar to the keratin (Primary protein of hair) and it helps to rejuvenate the hair, it provides more elasticity and prevents breakage. 

How to Use

  • Extract the pulp of the Aloe vera plant.
  • apply it on the scalp directly. 
  • Massage your scalp gently and leave it for about 45 minutes.
  • Rinse it with cold water. 

2. Fenugreek 

Fenugreek (Methi)

Fenugreek’s seeds contain trigonelline, flavonoids, mucilages, saponins, proteins, iron, lipids, vitamins, and minerals.

It Prevents and controls hair loss due to its high levels of phytoestrogens, (that can imitate the estrogen’s functions). Fenugreek is an excellent moisturizing and conditioning agent. 

Also, it regulates the sebum production, gives volume and porosity to hair and makes your hair shiny and silky.

How to Use

  • Soak the Fenugreek’s seeds in water overnight, then grind them in the next morning and make a paste (or you can grind them first then leave in water overnight).
  • Apply it to your hair and scalp. 

3. Green Tea 

Green tea

The cup of Green Tea can give you many health benefits. Green tea helps in hair growth by reducing the level of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) which is the most common reason for hair loss, especially in men.

It is rich in catechins, which help to reduce dihydrotestosterone (DHT), responsible for the male pattern baldness.

How to Use 

  • Put 2-3 tea bags into the water for 10-15 minutes and then remove them.
  • Shampoo your hair gently and wash with water.
  • Massage the rinse well into your scalp and keep it on for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse with cool water.

4. Amla 


Amla, also known as the Indian Gooseberry, is full of Vitamin C and amla helps to strengthens hair follicles. 

The phytonutrients, vitamins, and minerals in Amla increases the blood circulation on the scalp and stimulates healthy growth. It is also beneficial in reducing DHT and prevents premature greying.

How to Use

  • In a container, take 2 teaspoons of amla powder and 2 teaspoons of Shikakai powder.
  • Add a little bit of water and make a smooth paste. (Don’t make the paste too watery/thin)
  • Apply the paste on your scalp and hair and leave it for about 30-45 minutes. 
  • Then, shampoo your hair with normal water. 
  • Follow this routine once a week.

5. Coconut 


The lauric acid (a type of saturated fat) in coconut helps your hair by protecting against protein loss. It goes deep into the hair follicles and protects your hair from breakage from the root.

Coconut makes your hair strong and shiny. Coconut contains essential vitamins and fatty acids naturally which helps to nourish the scalp and prevent excess sebum build-up from hair follicles. All of these properties of coconut helps your hair to grow faster and healthier.

How to Use

  • Apply fresh Coconut Milk on your scalp, ideally with the help of a hairbrush. 
  • Leave it for 15-20 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with water. 

6. Egg 

Remedies for Hair fall

Eggs are rich in proteins, fatty acids, and vitamins, all of which are essential for your hair. It nourishes your hair follicles and provides strength to the hair from the root. 

It helps your hair to recover quickly from the damage and promotes healthy hair growth. Egg moisturize your scalp and prevents dandruff.

How to Use

  • Take one egg white and a teaspoon of Olive Oil/coconut oil.
  • Mix it with a teaspoon Honey and apply the paste on your hair and scalp. 
  • Leave it for 20-30 min.
  • Rinse after 20 minutes with a mild shampoo. 

If you want to treat your hair naturally, then you can start with these few remedies for hair fall. The natural treatment takes time to give you visible results, so have patience and maintain consistency. Also, you have to focus on your diet, a proper and healthy diet will boost the recovery process for any kind of health issues.
